IT'S A BOY !
On Saturday morning at 10:04 AM, I had the honor of welcoming our second child into the world. Our 7 lb, 1 oz. bundle of joy came out screaming and ready to take on the challenge of his first breath of air. Ten fingers and as many toes were stretching and grasping for their first touch.
After the nurses cleaned him up and checked his vital statistics, we were able to spend our first moments of quality time with our new son. As we were sitting there taking this all in, an annoying thought kept creeping into my mind.
On one of the happiest days of my life, I couldn't help thinking about Barak Obama's voting record. I mean, here we were, actually experiencing the miracle of life first hand, yet somehow Obama's face kept popping into my head. Why?
Then it dawned on me. I'm watching my son take his first breaths and worrying about the next vital minutes of his life, when I realized that this is actually the same point in my son's life where Barak Obama would support my wife and I if we decided to kill our son.
Luckily, my new boy turned around and opened his eyes for the first time, at which point all thoughts of legislatively approved baby killing faded from my mind.
I'm hoping to be able to get back into the swing of things regarding my blog over the next few days and weeks, but for now I'm going to be concentrating on raising the next great conservative thinker.

CONGRATULATIONS Terry!
Your priorities are right...family first.
You can always get back to blogging/writing.
Some other events take place only once in a lifetime.
Stay well.
Congrats on your new son! May he grow up in a much better, more tolerant world than the one we live in.

Now just for the record. Phill Gramm are you kidding? Every major case of greed the last twenty some odd years involving de-regulation involves his name somewhere at the top and he's Mccain's guy. Some Maverick!
Now back to what's really important. Congrats again on your new son!
Jaycee
Jaycee,
Thanks for the congrats. I think you're confusing Phill Gramm with Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick, Barney Frank, and Bill Clinton. You Know, the ones who created the current mortgage crises and are now begging tax payers to fix it?
Congratulations, Roadie!!!! Now you have to wonderful reasons to keep fighting the good fight.
Congrats on the new son! Hopefully, he'll form his OWN opinions when he grows up. But most likely they'll be similar or exactly the same as dear old Dad's.
I don't think that EVERYTHING in life has a negative Obama angle. :) If you don't watch it, you might start blaming acts of nature on Obama. ("That black sky is HIS FAULT!)
Babies are a gift from God. And this baby has been gifted with a good Dad (who might be a little opinionated, but has a lot to offer)
Thanks all! Mom and baby are doing great.
Your wee one is absolutely beautiful!! Congratulations to both you and your wife for this amazing, G-d given blessing.
As someone who resides just south of The People's Republic of Chicago...ie...downstate Illinois, I understand why you had those twinges regarding BarryBoy. He has been a scourge on this state since he first got himself elected via getting his challengers kicked off the ballot...and the legislation he has tried, and too often succeeded, at getting enacted, is beyond words. I can only sum it up with "pure evil". I could go off on a tangent now, about the direction of this country, now that he is president-elect...but instead, I will once again congratulate you and your wife (albeit a bit late)on your precious bundle, and once again agree that he is absolutely gorgeous!
